How to Create a LinkedIn Company Page
2026 guide to create a LinkedIn Company Page: prerequisites, detailed steps, SEO About, employees, and FAQ.

On LinkedIn, the Company Page is your company's official storefront: hiring, B2B credibility, reference point for prospects. Creating it takes minutes. The hard part is publishing often enough that it does not look abandoned.

In short
What is a LinkedIn Company Page?
A LinkedIn Company Page is the company's official profile on the network. You create it from a personal account (complete enough), and it shows logo, About, employees, jobs, and brand posts. It complements — not replaces — founder/expert profiles, which often drive more engagement.
Why create the Page now
Without a Page, your company has no official anchor. Signals it is time:
- You sell B2B or hire
- Employees mention the company with no Page to associate
- You want a `linkedin.com/company/…` URL for the site and email signatures
Before you start: what to prepare
- A sufficiently complete personal LinkedIn account
- Exact company name
- Desired URL (`linkedin.com/company/your-brand`)
- Website, industry, size, organization type
- Square logo + banner (~1128×191 px)
- One-line tagline + 2–3 paragraph About (with keywords)
Create the Page step by step
Each step matches a LinkedIn screen.
Step 1 — Open For Business
Sign in. Click For Business (grid, top right) → Create a Company Page. Or start from business.linkedin.com.
Prefer a computer for initial creation — mobile is limited.
Step 2 — Choose Company type
Select Company (standard for SMEs). Showcase / Educational only if you truly need them.
Step 3 — Identity and details
Enter name, public URL, website, industry, size, type. Double-check spelling of name and URL.
Add logo and a clear tagline.
Step 4 — Confirm authorization and create
Check you are authorized → Create page. Add a second admin ASAP.
Optimize right after creation
The essentials
- About: keywords; the first 2 lines before 'see more' matter most
- Tagline under the name
- Logo + cover that state value
- Details for search visibility
Go further
- Custom button (Visit website, Contact…)
- Ask employees to add the company to Experience and follow the Page
- Intro post + pin
- Check analytics regularly
Frequently asked questions
Why won't LinkedIn let me create a Page?
Usually: incomplete personal profile, very new account, or too many Pages already. Complete photo, headline, experience, then retry on desktop.
Company Page or personal profile for posting?
Both. The Page carries brand; personal profiles often earn more engagement.
How many admins?
At least two trusted people.
Do we need many followers on day one?
No. Invite the team, publish a useful first post, then build. A lively Page with 50 active employees beats an empty Page with 500 ghost followers.
